What started in 1986 as a venture to give a second life to our 18th-century family manor has blossomed, over four decades, into a nationwide narrative of beauty and well-being. This is the story of how a single house in the Aegean evolved into the Orloff Group, a signature of Greek hospitality, niche perfumery, and world-class spa expertise.
The Seed in the Garden
Every metamorphosis begins with a moment of becoming. Ours came in the summer of 2000, beneath the lemon and pomegranate trees of our garden. A conversation with Jean-Paul Guerlain sparked the idea of capturing Orloff in scent, leading to “George Orloff of Hydra,” the first perfume to bottle the freshness of the Greek islands.
We realized then that the Orloff experience should not be confined to the hotel’s walls but extend beyond place. In that moment, Orloff transitioned from a destination into a lifestyle.
A Path Guided by Scent
As our path unfolded, we sought to bring the same scent and sense of peace found in Hydra to the world around us. Since 1989, we have walked the fine line where hospitality meets the science of beauty, choosing only those who share our devotion to the craft.
This search for excellence led us to the world of niche perfumery, where we embrace houses like Etat Libre d’Orange. An unconventional French brand that defies taboos, using the most precious and rare materials to create fragrances that overwhelm the senses with an unexpected twist, much like the startling clarity of the Aegean light.
The Beauty & The Spa
This spirit of discovery led us naturally toward the science of beauty. We began with the Orloff spa experience, a philosophy of care rooted in the unhurried peace of our story. As our expertise grew, so did our partners; by integrating names like Valmont and Cinq Mondes, we moved beyond traditional treatments into slow, deliberate rituals where body and spirit find a common language.
Today, this signature expertise is the pulse of every Orloff Spa. The experience unfolds through purposeful transitions, beginning with a quiet dialogue to tune the ritual to your current state of being. We have evolved from a historic manor into a leader in the Greek wellness industry, but our core remains unchanged. We are still the same family, still inspired by the Aegean light, and still dedicated to the idea that luxury is found in the quietest details.
